Merit Launcher
The launcher Material You deserves. Not a grid of icons, a playground you build.
Get it on Google Play
Merit is not another grid of icons. It is a home screen you build like a playground: tiles in any of Material's shapes, colours taken from your wallpaper, and live tiles that open into shelves of widgets. Everything moves with the springy, liquid motion of Material 3 Expressive, the way Android's own design language was always meant to feel.
Your home, your playground
Every tile is yours to shape. A single cell or the full width, square or cookie, clover, circle or gem. Drag one anywhere and its neighbours make room; drop it and the gaps close by themselves. Group tiles into named sections, as tinted cards or open lists, and set how far down the page Merit opens, so only the tiles you reach for most wait at your thumb.
Tiles that open into shelves
Tap a tile and its shelf flows out of it: that app's own widgets and shortcuts, joined to the tile by a liquid bridge that folds away again when you are done. Your music, your car, your chat, each a tap away and never cluttering the page.
Tiles that are doing something
Weather with the day's high and low. A clock. The next appointment. Battery, steps and what's playing. A Contact tile with someone's photo, to call or message them in a tap. A photo tile that shows a new picture each time you come home. A timer and a stopwatch, one tap away.
Your day, before you ask
One swipe over, the Now page gathers what needs you: missed calls, and messages from the apps you choose. Below it, what is later today, on a timeline of the day with a bold line for the hours behind you and the sun rising and setting where it will. Everything else folds away under Other, never lost.
Every icon themed, even the stubborn ones
Themed, mono or accent icons for every app, not only the ones that ship a themed icon. Merit borrows from a fill-in icon pack of your choice, cuts a clean shape from the app's own icon, and falls back to a crisp letter when nothing else will do. Any ADW-compatible icon pack works too, and every app can have its own choice.
An app list that knows you
The Index sorts by how often you open things, or A to Z, with search and a letter rail. Apps you have not opened in weeks fold away behind Show all.
Private by design
No account, and no server behind it. Your layout and settings stay on your phone. Notifications, calendar and app usage are read on the phone to draw your screen, and never sent anywhere. The weather asks Open-Meteo for a forecast with a pair of coordinates and nothing else.
Merit shows a small ad in a few places, from Google AdMob, after asking for your consent where the law requires it. One purchase removes the ads for good, on every phone signed in to your Google account.
